Throughout my life, be it as a writer, mother, student, sales executive, yogi or teacher, I have learned to be creative and persistent while trying to remain serene and focused at the same time.
The balance between these opposing attributes isn’t always easy and I believe that’s a good thing. If outrage drives change and unleashes creativity than I’m ok with that but only as long as one can still conjure the necessary calm to transform outrage into something positive.
Or to put it in the words of Reinhold Niebuhr:
"Father, give us courage to change what must be altered, serenity to accept what cannot be helped, and the insight to know the one from the other."
Thus, I always try to maintain my ability to be stimulated, moved and inspired by the world we live in.
